Newly Surfaced SPIDER-MAN Concept Art Shows Off Some Alternate Designs For Peter Parker's Suit
A new batch of concept art for Spider-Man has been revealed today and it offers up some alternate takes on the wall-crawler's iconic costume and characters like Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Take a look!
Spider-Man is a spectacular entry into the wall-crawler's series of video games and arguably the best one to date. Over the course of this adventure, the wall-crawler meets some familiar allies and goes to war with some fan-favourite villains and we're now taking a look at all of them with this concept art.
This first batch puts the spotlight on Spider-Man, Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, and Captain Yuri Watanabe. We get to see an alternate take on the wall-crawler's redesigned suit as well as very interesting takes on the other characters which will definitely leave you with something to talk about.

Fans had a lot to say about the white spider emblazoned across Spider-Man's chest in the game but this version would have used a black version which is definitely closer to the source material overall.
This gorgeous keyframe shows Peter Parker standing on a rooftop surveying the city below but does he not realise that people have smartphones these days and could snap a photo of his handsome face?
This model shows just how much work was put into bringing the wall-crawler to life in the game but is it me or does he an incredibly toned butt here? I guess it's all the swinging around the city he does!
A closer look at the version of the suit which ended up being used in the game, we get a great look here at Peter Parker's web-shooters and the protection which adorns the hero's knuckles.
Another spectacular keyframe, the hero can be seen here trying to sneak into a warehouse in what was probably a design for one of the game's many stealth missions which are a definite highlight.
These fascinating pieces of concept art reveal some new details about the wall-crawler's costume and if you think I was being weird mentioning Spidey's butt, they ask to make it more toned here!
You start the game wearing Spider-Man's classic costume and if you're not a fan of the redesigned version with the white spider logo, you were no doubt pleased to learn that this is unlockable.
The Iron Spider arms come in handy during combat if you unlock that suit and while Insomniac borrowed them from the big screen, they obviously still had to make them work in a video game.
Spider-Man's suit from the "Ends of the Earth" storyline, it's a lot of fun swinging through New York City wearing this bad boy and here we get a closer look at the work that went into designing it.
Peter Parker is only 23 years old in this game but that means he's been Spider-Man for eight years and is pretty experienced. However, this concept art shows what seems to be an older Peter.
Predictably, some fans have taken issue with the way Mary Jane Watson is portrayed in Spider-Man because they'd rather she be a supermodel than a regular girl with a career in journalism Really!
MJ does look a little more model-like here but it's hard to fault the version we got, especially as she looks like the girl next door, an approach first explored by Sam Raimi in 2002's Spider-Man movie.
Some different designs for Mary Jane Watson's costumes throughout the game, these are all pretty good but none of them would have significantly impacted her role in the critically acclaimed release.
Insomniac Games clearly put a lot of work into designing Yuri and as she's such a big part of the game, it's easy to see why. Here, a number of different hairstyles have been experimented with.
Some different costume designs for Yuri, she only makes a handful of physical appearances in the game but is involved with a key action sequence despite mostly being a voice in Spider-Man's ear.
