Recently, overwhelming evidence emerged online that suggested the long-running
Call of Duty franchise is raring to introduce yet another battle royale. What appeared to be a promotional image for
Call of Duty: Warzone leaked online and was promptly struck down by Activision —
more on that here.
Insiders stated that the battle royale will be playable soon enough and then evidence emerged within
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare itself — courtesy of the game's latest update. Players began to find themselves within secret menus and able to interact with locked features —
as you can see here. This apparent oversight by Infinity Ward has only gotten more prevalent.
Players have found themselves within a
"Training Mode" for the Warzone battle royale. A Twitter user by the name of
@CaptainBadfoot (via
Charlie INTEL) was able to discover the vehicles that will apparently be available in the mode as well as share our first look at the Training Mode and relevant menus.
One player even went as far as to upload gameplay of the Warzone battle royale mode to YouTube but, naturally, that video was quickly removed by Activision. Someone else also shared a look at a supposed
"Supply Station" menu that will feature in Warzone and allow players to purchase killstreaks and other power-ups with in-game currency.
Suffice it to say; Warzone is all but confirmed at this point. Expect an official announcement soon. You can check out all of the aforementioned images below:
