The rumors were correct - we're getting a two-player
Unravel game. The cute platformer was officially announced yesterday during the underwhelming EA E3 2018 conference. The title is indeed focusing on co-op, but can be also played in single-player, although the game will always feature two Yarnys that you can switch between in single-player, or take control of one each in the co-op mode.
"
Unravel 2 is about the new bonds that form when we cut ties to the past,” said Creative Director Martin Sahlin. “
Like Unravel, it is a deeply personal game for the studio and our passion and life experiences are intertwined in the fabric of the journey players and their Yarnys will embark on. Unravel Two is about the unbreakable bond between friends and how hope and love can make the world around us a better place."
Unravel 2 also contains numerous bonus challenges and extra-difficult tests of skill best enjoyed after completing the main campaign.
The unexpected sequel is available now for $19.99 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. EA Access and Origin Access members can also check out a short demo of
Unravel 2 right now. Take a look:
