Sega and Nintendo announced in March of this year that they would be bringing back the Mario & Sonic at the Olympics series later this year; bringing together characters from the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog series together to compete in a plethora of Olympic events.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympics Tokyo 2020 will be the next entry in the series that meant the very first crossover between characters owned by Sega and Nintendo; teaming up for the first time in 2007, after years of rivalry, to celebrate this worldwide event.

During this year's E3, we got a brand-new trailer for the game, which shows off several of the fun events that the characters from the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog series will be competing in, as well as revealing that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be releasing, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, at some point in November of 2019.
