Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is just around the corner and fans are already riding that hype train anxiously waiting for the game's release. Today some new, and very interesting details have been revealed about the game and promise to make the wait even more difficult for fans, for all the right reasons.
Capcom Unity have revelaled that
Versus Mode and
Training Mode will be available in
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, for every single one of the 12 games it features, as a day 1 patch.
According to the information shared, Capcom adding Versus and Training modes happened due to the feedback they got from fans on the day the collection was announced. The game's focus was mostly on the Arcade mode, so they decided it would be a good idea to add these two new modes as a day one patch that players could download for free once they got their copy of the game.
Versus Mode will be accessed through the main selection screen and will let players choose in which game they want to play Versus mode, instead of selecting one of the 12 games in the collection and going to that specific game's Versus mode. Another interesting detail is that once players select the game they want to play Versus in, they'll be able to select the stage they want, and that stage will be labeled with which character originated from it. So, for instance, in Street Fighter Alpha 3 the stage selected House of Mystery – Palazzo Mistero, Italy, the stage will be labeled as Rose's.
A problem that some games like Street Fighter Alpha 3 used to have is that they feature no Training Mode and players had nowhere to train because of it. Thanks to the feedback from fans,
Street Fighter Alpha 3,
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, and
Street Fighter II: Turbo, and
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike will all feature their respective Training Modes, as well as the previously announced Online play. Some of the options that this mode will include is the ability to turn on damage display, input display, configure dummy controls, and more. Could that mean that they will be adding some Combo Tutorials, as well? That would be especially helpful in
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, where combos are that game's bread and butter. We can only keep our fringers crossed.
As a
Street Fighter fan myself, I have to say these new additions are very welcomed and can tell that the team over at Capcom are doing a great job to make
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection a memorable one.
