May 9 has been officially recognised as Goku Day by the Japanese Anniversary Association as the numbers 5 and 9 are read "Go" and "Ku" in Japanese, respectively. The Goku Day was officially recognised back in 2015 and Dragon Ball fans all over the world now celebrate who is arguably the most famous manga/anime character of all time.
Bandai Namco are celebrating Goku Day in the only way they know how: by giving away some in-game goodies for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ fans.
According to the official Bandai Namco twitter account, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players will be getting an in-game Goku Jacket, double the XP they'd normally get in the game, and 59 TP Medals, all of this right after the event is over.
Dragon Ball FighterZ players will be getting a special Goku-themed title for their player card that will read "Timeless Legend" that will be available from 10AM Pacific Time.
If you own Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 or Dragon Ball FighterZ, or both in the best case scenario, don't forget to get your in-game rewards and go celebrate Goku Day!
