In April of last year,
Arc System Works announced that they were working on a Nintendo Switch port of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R — which is the latest revision of the original
Guilty Gear XX released in 2002. As a fun fact, Guilty Gear XX was getting revisions every year, with the fifth, and last one, being
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R — which released in 2007.
What the developer didn't mention in the announcement, however, was the official release date — although the game was expected to release at some point in 2018;
eventually getting a delay that would see Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R being released in 2019.
Now that we're only one day away from
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R finally releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Arc System Works has released a brand-new gameplay trailer that shows off some of the top tier gameplay mechanics the
Guilty Gear series is known for, as well as the new soundtracks, and even the brand-new online networking — which now allows for players to spectate fights as they wait fore their turn.
