There are a lot of things to get excited about when the new Marvel vs Capcom game comes out. Here is Gamefragger's top 5 Marvel characters we'd love to see in the game!
5. Nova
With Richard Rider’s long-awaited return to the Marvel Universe, his popularity is at an all-time high, this should be capitalised on by reintroducing him into Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. Hopefully, he’ll wear his most recognisable Annihilation suit, as opposed to, his original or new costume. A Sam Alexander alternative skin could, also, be implemented as an unlockable costume for fans of the new, younger Nova that was introduced in Ultimate Spider-Man.
4. Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful Avengers in both the movies and comics. Her inclusion in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite would please both movie and comic fans as she’s well known to both. Furthermore, her unique powerset could create an interesting zoning focused hero that would work well in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, especially when being used for an assist. She could play similar to Raven from Injustice: Gods Among Us.
3. Silver Surfer
He’s one of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes, one of their most important characters in Marvel cosmic and one of Marvel’s most powerful superheroes. Silver Surfer deserves to be on Marvel vs Capcom Infinite’s roster. His fighting style could vary with speed and ranged attacks using the power cosmic. He could even call in Galactus or the other Heralds for his supermove.
H2. Vision
He’s been a staple in the Avenger’s lineup since his creation and now is a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Vision would bring about a unique moveset and fighting style that could even be considered overpowered in a fighting game. Vision could have teleportation moves as his phasing, or even have a phase dodge, where he can phase through projectiles and attacks. Vision could also have the ability to increase his damage, but slow him by increasing his density. He could also shoot projectiles with his laser and fly, giving him abilities to suit all play-styles.
1. Ant Man
Ant Man has gone from being a character laughed at by the mainstream audience, to being a character who’s loved by many. Scott Lang’s appearances in the MCU in Ant Man, Captain America: Civil War and upcoming appearance in Ant Man and The Wasp has given him a strong mainstream status that should be capitalised on through a videogame appearance. Ant Man’s fighting style could be fast, strong and feature great manoeuvrability through his size-shifting. His supermove could even change him to Giant Man, to carry out a great deal of damage on his enemies. Ant Man’s appearance in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite would be fun, unique and well-received by all fans.
