The Monster Hunter World cross-over event with Final Fantasy XIV will go live the 1st of August. The show will belong to the Behemoth, one of Final Fantasy’s most recognizable recurring monsters. The beast will be Monster Hunter: World‘s fourth new monster overall, following Kulve Taroth, a mysterious golden beast, the blue flame-covered Lunastra and Deviljho, a very large bipedal monster.
Far more important than the beast itself is the armor and weapons you can craft from its hide as the upcoming update will feature special collaborative weapons and armor from Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV, allowing you to obtain the new Drachen armor set, along with the Gae Bolg insect glaive and Dragon Soul Kinsect, to look just like a Dragoon, the lance-wielding knight of the nation of Ishgard.
The latest entry in the Monster Hunter series is also finally making its way to PC as Monster Hunter World will be releasing on Steam on August 9, 2018, after fans have been waiting for it since it originally came out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 26th of January. Back in March, Capcom announced that World had sold an impressive 7.5 million units worldwide since its release. Take a look:
Battle gigantic monsters in epic locales. As a hunter, you'll take on quests to hunt monsters in a variety of habitats. Take down these monsters and receive materials that you can use to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt even more dangerous monsters. In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement.
