The brand-new story trailer for NetherRealm's
Mortal Kombat 11 introduces us to Kronika, the game's main antagonist, and reveals her plans to create a new era by joining forces with Shao Kahn.
Some previous character trailers had shown characters fighting alongside younger versions of themselves, mainly from the first entries in the
Mortal Kombat series, and we now know that there will be some time travel involved — as the new trailer also reveals.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be dealing with what the trailer itself calls a temporal armageddon, as the realms are in danger of being destroyed. The trailer also reveals some new characters that haven't been yet introduced, like Erron Black fro
Mortal Kombat X, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's daughter Cassie Cage, and Kotal Kahn.
What's even more interesting is the fact that we'll get to see some interesting interactions between past and present versions of iconic characters like Past Johnny Cage talking to his present self; which is likely one of this trailer's highlights for any fan of the
Mortal Kombat series.
