NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11 has reached an important milestone, as a recent study has revealed that the gory fighting game is the best-selling title in the month of April, beating out other heavy hitters like Bend Studio's
Days Gone.
The information was shared by NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella, who also revealed that
Mortal Kombat 11 is not only the best-seling title of April, but it is also the second best-selling 2019 year-to-date game.
As if that wasn't enough, NetherRealm Studio's
Mortal Kombat 11 was also able to become the best-selling title of April on each platform it released on; meaning that it managed to beat out SIE and Bend Studio's
Days Gone on the PlayStation 4, almost against all odds.
This agrees with the report that
Days Gone had lost out to Mortal Kombat 11 when it came to sales on the PlayStation Store, as announced by the official PlayStation Blog.
Bend Studio's
Days Gone didn't do bad itself, as the second best-selling game of April — which, according to Piscatella, got some major sales that rank it as the 7th highest Sony-published title in history; definitely something for Bend Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment to be proud of.
