Announced during last year's The Game Awards, NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11 will have the past meeting the present in a generational clash that sees characters from the first
Mortal Kombat games being brought to our time by Kronika, the self-proclaimed "Keeper of Time".
Pretty much since the announcement, we've had a rough idea of who are the characters that would be making a comeback, and NetherRealm has done a great job keeping fans of the series up to date by constantly releasing new character reveals and story trailers.
Now that
Mortal Kombat 11 is coming out next week, NetherRealm has finally released the official reveal trailer for Shao Kahn, although we have been seeing him in every single character reveal trailer — albeit for a few moments.
Shao Kahn will also be available for players who pre-order
Mortal Kombat 11; those who don't pre-order will sadly have to purchase him, as Kahn is not an unlockable character.
Take a look:
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 23rd of April.
Nintendo Switch version will release on the 10th of May.
