Players of Bandai's Gundam Card Game have another shot at one of the game's most elaborate accessory bundles. The Premium Goods Set themed around After War Gundam X, labeled PB04, is now on sale on a first-come, first-served basis through Premium Bandai, with orders open in the United States, Australia and New Zealand, and Asia while supplies last.
The official English account for the card game announced the sale ahead of time, giving fans a heads up that stock is limited.
Everything In The PB04 Box
If you play the Gundam Card Game regularly, this bundle covers just about every accessory you would need for a tournament or a night at your local game store. The set contains:
- A card case with a separator
- 70 card sleeves
- 10 Resource cards in 10 different designs
- 4 cards, made up of two designs with two copies each
- A rubber play mat
- A storage box to hold it all
The numbers line up neatly with the game's deck rules. According to the official rules, a legal deck has exactly 50 cards made up of Units, Pilots, Commands and Bases, with up to four copies of each card number, while a separate Resource deck holds exactly 10 Resource cards. That means the 70 sleeves can cover a full 50-card main deck plus the 10-card Resource deck with 10 sleeves left over as spares, and the 10 themed Resource cards are enough to fill an entire Resource deck on their own. The four bundled cards come in pairs, so anyone hoping to run them will want to see how they fit into their current builds.
Price And Shipping Window
The U.S. version of the set costs $89.99 and is scheduled to ship in May 2027. The Japanese version is priced at 9,900 yen and is slated to arrive in March 2027, so overseas buyers will be waiting a bit longer.
Before this open sale, Premium Bandai USA ran a chance-to-buy drawing that selected 2,850 potential purchasers, each limited to one set. Anyone who missed that drawing or did not win now gets a second chance, though there is no guarantee how long the remaining stock will last. A free Premium Bandai account was required to take part in the drawing, so it is a good idea to have one set up before heading to the store page.
Why Gundam X
After War Gundam X premiered in 1996, which means the series is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It follows Garrod Ran, a young scavenger in a post-apocalyptic world who teams up with a mysterious girl named Tiffa Adill and takes control of the Gundam X, a mobile suit famous for its massive Satellite Cannon. Its look, from the ruined Earth to its bulky mobile suits, translates nicely to a playmat.
The show was the last of the three alternate universe Gundam series that aired in the 1990s, following Mobile Fighter G Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. It had a rough original run on television, but it has picked up a loyal fanbase over the decades, and it has shown up in plenty of Gundam games over the years thanks to the Satellite Cannon's spectacular attack animations.
Bandai has been leaning on anniversaries to drive these premium products, and Gundam X has a dedicated 30th anniversary site in Japan collecting the merchandise being released for it.
More Gundam Games On The Way
The card game is not the only way Bandai Namco is expanding the franchise in the gaming space. The company also recently revealed Gundam Blitz Order, the franchise's first idle game, which is preparing for a network test.
