Sony has released a brand new teaser trailer (with a heavy emphasis on "teaser") for NetherRealm Studios' upcoming fighting extravaganza
Mortal Kombat 11. Following the recent introduction of Raiden, the latest gameplay video gives us a chance to take a closer look at the redesigned model of Sub Zero, one of the most recognizable (and definitely the coolest) character in the graphic saga.
Thus far, NetherRealm has confirmed that players will battle their friends and strangers online as Baraka, D'Vorah, Geras, Jade, Kabal, Kano, Scorpion, Shao Kahn, Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Raiden, and the main star of the latest teaser, Sub Zero. During
MKX’s post-launch phase, beloved fictional characters from classic horror movies, such as Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Predator, Xenomorph, and even Leatherface joined the game's roster, so you can expect to see a pretty similar treatment in
MKXI.
Even if you don't like Sub Zero's new outfit, you won't be forced to use it in-game, as the Chicago-based studio has decided to borrow some gameplay mechanics from their latest title,
Injustice 2, giving you a unique opportunity to personalize the fighter the way only you can imagine, using the game's customization system, with clothes, accessories, and move sets never seen in a
MK game before.
Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 23rd of April; Nintendo Switch version will release on the 10th of May.
