SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy has just announced that a rather unusual character will be joining the roster. It is none other than Jeanne D'Arc from the
World of Heroes series, who will be fighting to become the "Belle of the Brawl".
The reason why this is an unusual character is not really because of the character herself, but because
World of Heroes is a series that has been missing in action for over 20 years. The first game in the series was released in 1992 for the SNK Neo Geo, and was developed by the defunct ADK(Alpha Denshi Corp), with the fourth and last installment,
World Heroes Perfect, being released in 1995.
In
World of Heroes, Jeanne D'Arc is a French fighter from the 15th Century and, much like the name suggests, is based on Joan of Arc—although very, very loosely. She is one of the characters from the
World of Heroes series that was in every single one of the games, and will be unsheathing her sword once again when she joins the fight in
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy on the
13th of December.
