So, this is the news fans of SNK's iconic sword-fighting series,
Samurai Shodown, have been waiting for — as the developer has recently announced that they are currently working on
Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection.
This announcement is coming at the perfect time, since SNK announced in September of last year that
the sword-fighting series was making its triumphant return with Samurai Shodown VI — which is expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC this year.
Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection will be featuring some all-time classics like the original
Samurai Shodown,
Samurai Shodown II,
Samurai Shodown III: Blades of Blood,
Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge,
Samurai Shodown V, and
Samurai Shodown V - Special.
This awesome collection is being developed by Digital Eclipse, who helped SNK work on the
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection last year, so we know the
Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection is in great hands — since they did a fantastic job porting all of those classic Arcade titles for the
40th Anniversary Collection.
Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection still doesn't have an official release date but is expected to release
this Fall for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam); as the perfect way to introduce new players to the
Samurai Shodown series ahead of the release of the long-awaited
Samurai Shodown VI.
