SNK is celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and the Japanese company has already released the
SNK Neo Geo Mini and the
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection for fans to celebrate with them.
The
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a Nintendo Switch exclusive title that compiles 13 of some of the classic SNK titles from the NES era; some of which can be played in both their original Arcade or Console version—making it a perfect collection for fans of SNK.
The 13 titles that are included in the
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection are
Alpha Mission, Athena, Crystalis, Ikari Warriors, Victory Road, Ikari III - The Rescue, Prehistoric Isle, Street Smart, TNK III, Vanguard, Psycho Soldier, P.O.W., and Guerrilla War, although SNK still had a few surprises for the fans since these will be available at launch but they will be adding even more games in the coming months.
The
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection DLC 1 will be including
Chopper I, Fantasy, Munch Mobile, Sasuke vs. Commander, and Time Soldiers, while the second batch of games included with the next DLC are
Beast Busters, Bermuda Triangle, Ozma Wars, Paddle Mania, SAR: Search and Rescue, and
World War. It is worth mentioning that both DLCs will be completely free for people who already own the game, and these will be available on the
11th of December.
Now that the game has been officially released on the Nintendo Switch, we get a new trailer for the
SNK 40th Anniversary Collection showing off some of the games this collection is including, as well as the new Rewind feature, and the game's gallery chock-full of special materials and never-before-seen collections.
