In September of 2018, developer SNK made quite a splash when they announced that a brand-new entry in the long-running sword-fighting Samurai Shodown series was being developed. This new game, simply titled Samurai Shodown, was also revealed to be a soft reboot for the series, and that most of the characters from previous games would be making a comeback.
While there are a bunch of characters that made a comeback in Samurai Shodown, SNK revealed that three new characters(Darli Dagger, Wu-Ruixiang, and Yashurama Kurama as the new protagonist) were also being added to this new game.
Even more characters have been added to Samurai Shodown post-launch, and earlier this year SNK revealed that four new fighters would joing the game's roster via the Season Pass 2; three of these characters were revealed, but one was kept under wraps by the developers.
Just yesterday, in fact, SNK revealed that this mysterious fourth character would be revealed today, and they have delivered on their promise; revealing that this new fighter is none other than the game's first crossover character: Warden from Ubisoft's For Honor series.
With the announcement, SNK also released an action-packed gameplay trailer that shows off For Honor's Warden in action, and also reveals that this crossover character will actually become available in Samurai Shodown on the 24th of June, which is actually tomorrow.
