Creative Assembly is a British studio best known for its beloved work on the Total War series which the developer has been working on since 1999 when the their first major strategy game, Shogun: Total War launched. Assembly is not afraid of experimenting and one of the best games and most overlooked of the decade, Alien: Isolation was the begging of the studio's affair with the first-person perspective.
It looks like Creative is ready to take a break from the Total War series (Total War: Three Kingdoms is scheduled to release next spring [exclusively] on PC) as the studio is looking for new developers to help developing "a brand-new and exciting First Person Tactical Shooter IP." Unfortunately, no other details are currently offered, but a brand new Assembly IP sounds incredibly fascinating and promising.
Sadly, it probably won't be a sequel to Alien Isolation, as the game didn't manage to beat Sega's sales expectations, and FoxNext Games (a part of the Fox entertainment empire and the owner of the Alien rights) has acquired Cold Iron Studios, and their secret project is also a "triple A" a shooter for consoles and PC. Isolation was one of the most unique games of this generation of consoles, so another first-person game designed by Creative Assembly makes us more than just intrigued by the concept.
