Chapter 2 of Battlefield 5’s Tides of War live service arrives this week and EA has released a new trailer giving us a look at the content coming in Lightning Strikes.

Among the new content, the trailer gives us a glimpse at the new co-op mode Combined Arms. Coming in February, this mode sees you join up with three friends to finish a series of explosive missions that'll take you across several maps.

In the meantime, Lightning Strikes will bring new Company Gear, weapons, vehicles, and the return of Rush mode - all of which are shown briefly in the trailer. The update will also introduce , a more concentrated version of the 64-player Conquest mode that enables more tactical gameplay between two teams of 16 players on the Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada maps. Squad Conquest will be available from January 17 through January 30.

And finally, tucked away at the very end of the trailer is an update on Battlefield 5's battle royale mode, Firestorm, which is slated to arrive in March. Briefly detailed back in September, Firestorm is essentially a sandbox filled with destructible buildings, weaponry, and vehicles with some light building mechanics to allow for fortifying and reshaping the battlefield.

Battlefield V Update – Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes, starts this week for all Battlefield V players. Featuring a new co-op mode Combined Arms (available from February), new Company Gear, weapons, vehicles, and the return of Rush mode.

Battlefield 5's Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes update will arrive on Tuesday, January 15 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Patch notes can be viewed here.
