Treyarch have released the patch notes for the most recent update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Most changes are for the Blackout battle-royale mode. For example, the 9-Bang has been removed entirely from the game while Treyarch "evaluate its place in the gameplay loop."

The flashbang-like grenade was considered by many to be overpowered - if you were at the mercy of it, your movements would be slowed and your vision would be impaired. However, while one grenade has been removed due to being overpowered, the Concussion Grenade has been buffed with an increased throw-distance and highered inventory stack-count of 2.

A major addition to Blackout would be the "Blightfather" boss which "has been transported from [the Zombies map] IX to haunt the Graveyard just south of the Asylum." This boss Zombie will drop high-tier loot and is necessary to unlock the "Shaw" character-skin - which was made available on account of this update. The Blightfather will only be present for a limited time - that being 10am PT on November 13th.
