It's that time of year when the third of four
Call of Duty DLC packs is released. The prior expansions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 have included multiple new multiplayer maps and one for its Zombies mode.
Treyarch recently took to social media to share some teasers for the next instalment in their convulted Zombies storyline. The first tweet featured an ominous image of a little girl hovering amid the blue glow of a collapsed pyramid. If you're familiar with the
Call of Duty Zombies storyline, you'll recognise this little girl as Samantha and the imagery quite reminiscent of the
Call of Duty: Black Ops zombies map known as Moon.
The tweet teases that the end has begun and seemed to reveal both the release date and name of the upcoming Zombies map - that being the 9th of June and
"Alpha Omega". Furthermore, they also recently released a cinematic trailer for the forthcoming DLC - though it only goes over story details. You can check out both of the official tweets below and the trailer even further down:
Soon after these tweets, dataminers were able to discover the loading screen for the upcoming Zombies map hidden within the files of the most recent update to
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Again, if you're familiar with the franchise, you'll absolutely be able to recognise that the forthcoming DLC map will be set in Nuketown.
Nuketown was originally a multiplayer map which debuted in
Call of Duty: Black Ops. It has since been remade in every following instalment in the
Black Ops subseries. It was notably converted into a Zombies map for
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - it seems that Treyarch are simply doing that again.
