Ahead of
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's October release, Activision has released a launch gameplay trailer. Set to the track of Diplo, French Montana and Lil Pump's "
Welcome to the Party," the trailer features some action-packed gameplay from
Black Ops 4, specifically highlighting the game's three core modes: Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout.
Unlike past iterations in the
Call of Duty franchise,
Black Ops 4 ditches the traditional campaign mode in favor of a robust multiplayer suite. New to the franchise is Blackout,
Call of Duty's version of the popular battle royale genre where players drop into a map and fight until only one player or squad remains. Of course, your standard multiplayer modes return alongside three unique Zombies experiences.
Looking beyond launch, Activision and Treyarch have plans to support
Black Ops 4 with "the most active calendar of events in studio history." This will include a
mix of both paid-for and free downloadable content for all three of the game's modes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases October 12, 2018, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
