For the second straight year, Comcast is partnering with Activision to give Xfinity members a chance to access the upcoming beta for this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Starting this Friday, July 27, Xfinity customers in the United States can request a free access code to the recently detailed Multiplayer Private Beta for Black Ops 4.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta will arrive in waves on different weekends depending on your console. It will be available first for PlayStation 4 from August 3 through August 6. A second weekend will open up the beta to all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, and PC) from August 10 through August 13. Regardless of platform, you're going to need to pre-order the game to access the private beta.

That is unless your a Comcast Xfinity customer in the U.S., in which case you can just request a free beta code for your platform of choice. To snag a code, simply head over to the official Xfinity portal and log with your account details on Friday. A code will be instantly displayed on the website along with instructions on how to redeem it.

As a reminder, the Private Multiplayer Beta will offer a sample of the game's standard multiplayer components, including six maps, a handful of Specialists, and fan-favorite modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside the brand-new objective-based game mode, Control. A separate beta for the brand new battle royale mode, Blackout, is being planned for September.

In addition to this exclusive Xfinity promotion, it appears Comcast is also offering a sweepstake to give anyone a chance to play Black Ops 4 before its October 12 release. It appears Comcast, Activision, and retailers are teaming up for a special Black Ops 4 retail tour event. Registration is open right now and you don't need to be an Xfinity customer to enter for a chance to win an invite to one of the eight locations of the tour. The Black Ops 4 retail tour actually kicked off earlier this month, but there are still four dates left:
  • Seattle, WA. (8/4)
  • Chicago, IL (9/7)
  • Indianapolis, IN. (9/11)
  • Atlanta, GA. (9/15)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases October 12.
