Bungie are launching a huge quality of life patch for Destiny 2 which will add a ton of new content, refine some mechanics and generally improve the overall experience. The bad news is that the servers will be down for maintanence for six hours while Bungie implements the patch.
The maintanence will begin at 7 AM PT tomorrow, and is expected to last until 2 PM PT. You will not be able to log into the game during this time and at 8 AM PT anyone who is in an activity will be kicked to the main screen while the team work on maintanence. Once the maintanence has ended update 1.1.1.1 will be available and the servers will go back up.
The update is expected to make significant improvements to the base game. It will see the introduction of masterworks which act as a new feature for legendary weapons and allow you to track the number of kills with that weapon. Faction vendors will be able to sell armour and weapons in exchange for legendary shards and Xur's inventory will be recieving a couple of new items.
Destiny 2 will also be getting a quality of life updates which ensures chests contain items. Players found that if they collected rewards too quickly any chest they came across would be empty due to an anti exploit measure set in place by bungie. This update will be softening that measure considerably. Also Vendors will no longer flash up on heads up displays unless the player actually has collected enough tokens to level up their guardian.
What do you guys think? Are you excited for this new update?
