If you were to ask Fallout fans what their favorite entry to the post-apocalyptic series was, odds are it wouldn't take long to find someone throwing out Obsidian Entertainment's Fallout: New Vegas as their answer. This 2010 entry to the series is widely beloved in the community, and many wish it would come back.

Imagine players' surprise when it was discovered that Fallout 4 had a new branch on SteamDB that was titled kind of odd, "newvegas2," this type of branch would be named that way by developers looking at adding content or some remaster. This was added on April 4 but was removed a day later, possibly because this wasn't supposed to go public just yet, and it was leading to too much speculation.

Many are taking the safe route and chalking this up to Bethesda's free Fallout 4 remaster heading to next-gen consoles, which will include some new Creation Content, potentially based on New Vegas. Some, however, are clinging onto hope this could be something bigger, like a remastered version of the beloved entry.

It's worth noting that both Bethesda and Obsidian are under the same parent company, so it's possible the two studios could have improved their previously rocky relationship since. We can't say for sure what this is, but for the sake of it, we'll likely chalk it up to Creation Content.
