A few weeks ago, Ubisoft announced that
Far Cry 5 is the fastest-selling title in the series, generating $310 million in consumer spending through the first week. Impressively, it wasn't the shooter's only record, as players have steamed more than 55,000 hours of the game, reaching approx. 117 million views on the YouTube alone, possibly earning the title of the most viewed Ubisoft game in history.
Just like
Assassin's Creed: Origins, Far Cry 5 will finally give you a chance to share the best pictures from your trip to Montana (temporarily under the rule of mad cultists), as Ubisoft introduces the special photo mode in the latest update (titled Update 8). The photo mode has now been added and is available via
Far Cry 5's main menu in solo gameplay modes. Of course, you can enhance your screenshots even further with a variety of special effects, filters, frames, and even special logos.
You can even customize the facial expressions of your hero to create the perfect selfie! Enabling photo mode will swing the view out to third-person to help you set up your shot, or just get a better look at your character, and PC shots are automatically saved straight to your hard drive. Considering that
Far Cry 5 is a pretty game no matter what platform you play on, the photo mode is a welcomed addition.
