There's a new show in town in Fortnite. The latest season of Fortnite Festival — the rhythm game featured in Epic Games' hit battle royale-turned-sandbox experience — kicked off today and headlining Season 3 is none other than Billie Eilish.
The award-winning artist is the Icon of Fortnite Festival Season 3, which features a new Festival Pass, Instruments, and Jam Tracks.
The new Festival Pass includes both a free and premium reward track. Paying the 1,800 V-Bucks for the Premium Upgrade will automatically unlock the Green Rootes Billie Outfit, while reaching the final reward will get you the must-reactive Ultraviolet Style for Green Rootes Billie.
Other rewards in the Premium Track include the Burial Mic and Sleeper Keys Keytar, two Billie Eilish-themed instruments.
While the Ultraviolet Style of the Green Rootes Billie Outfit is exclusive to the Season 3 Festival Pass, other content featured in the Premium Festival Pass is not, which means they may be available for purchase through the in-game Item Shop at a later date.
The following four unlockable Jam Tracks are also included in the Premium pass:
- Maroon 5 - “Maps”
- The Cure - “Friday I'm in Love”
- 5 Seconds Of Summer - “Youngblood”
- Billie Eilish - “Oxytocin”
If you simply stick to the free reward track, you'll still get some pretty awesome cosmetics. The highlight is the Lavatronik Bass, but there are also four new Jam Tracks:
- Epic Games - “Change”
- Epic Games - “Silly Bros”
- Epic Games - “Sweet Victory”
- WitchGang - “Runaway”
Since "Sweet Victory" already existed previously as a Lobby Track, those who already have it will receive a one-time V-Bucks refund equivalent to what they paid for it, plus the Jam Track version.
Also in the free track are the Heart Groove Aura, Snow Beat Aura, and Spinback Emote.
In addition to the Festival Pass, there will be all-new Billie Eilish-themed items in the shop, including three of her biggest hits as Jam Tracks:
- Billie Eilish - “all the good girls go to hell”
- Billie Eilish - “Happier Than Ever - Edit”
- Billie Eilish - “Therefore I Am”
There's also the "bad guy" Emote and the "you should see me in a crown" emote. A new Billie Eilish Outfit and Jam Tracks from her new album are coming later in Season 3.
As exciting as this new headliner is, possibly overshadowing it is the news that as of today you can now use your Rock Band 4 guitar controllers to rock out. As of now, the Rock Band 4 Fender Stratocaster, the Rock Band 4 Fender Jaguar, and the brand-new PDP Riffmaster R controller are supported for the Pro Lead and Pro bass song parts on the Main Stage.
