Fortnite Battle Royale's Playground Limited Time Mode is finally coming. The in-game message of the day has been updated to confirm the mode's impending arrival, which will finally give players a chance to practice outside of a real match.

Detailed last month, Playground LTM is the initial step into what a creative mode for Fortnite looks like. You'll be loaded into the Battle Royale map with adjusted settings that allow you to practice your building and fighting with friends. According to the details:

Battle and build to your heart's content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.

The in-game message only says that Playground LTM is "coming soon." So while we don't yet have an exact date, it can probably be expected to arrive sometime this week.

On a related note, Epic recently informed players they are looking for ways to introduce alternative strategies to Fortnite's end-game so it's not just building, shotguns and rocket launchers.
