FORTNITE: Epic Confirms That Season 6's New Consumable "Shadow Stones" Have Finally Been Re-Added.. Again

After being removed, re-added, then removed again, Epic Games recently took to Twitter to confirm that Fortnite Season 6's new consumable "Shadow Stones" have finally returned to the battle-royale.

Though Season 6 has only just begun, the new consumable "Shadow Stones" have been removed twice. At first they were removed due to unforeseen "issues," before quickly being re-added later in the day - at the expense of the new "Port-A-Fortress" item. And then taken away again as even more issues arose. But now, after almost a week and hopefully definitively, they're back.

For the second time, Epic announced their return via Twitter:

The recurring issues were likely on account of the abilities the consumable provides the player after ingestion. Consuming the Shadow Stone will put you in a state in which you cannot use your weapons, are invisible to enemies (whilst stationary), and can phase through solid walls.

Either of these abilities may have proven problematic. Players have been able to phase into places they have never been before and shouldn't be allowed to now - such as the back of closed 18-wheeler trucks. There have also been reports  of players who have remained invisible permanently. Hopefully all of these problems have now been ironed out.

What do you think of the Shadow Stones' return? Had you tried them out yet? If so, what did you think of the Shadow Form?

Fortnite Season 6 has begun.
