After a minor delay to due technical issues, Epic Games has released Fortnite update v3.3, and it certainly comes with a bang! Literally, as Battle Royale’s latest weapon is Remote Explosives.
Previously teased, Remote Explosives can topple entire fortresses with just the click of a button. Check out the video of its potential below.
Additionally, Battle Royale has also receive Supply Llamas. Hidden throughout the map “in the most unexpected of places,” Supply Llamas will contain powerful loot.
For Save the World, the new Luck of the Storm Questline has been added in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The description teases:
“Uncover treacherous treasures, track mythical creatures, and brave springtime shenanigans in ‘Luck of the Storm’!”
Also arriving in Save the World is the Shamrock Reclaimer Outlander.
“Charge your abilities by defeating enemies and be the lucky charm we’ve always needed!”
Lastly, today’s update includes just a few bug fixes; nothing major:
-
Improved server performance and reduced bandwidth usage when players are jumping.
-
Korean, Japanese, and Chinese languages will display properly in the UI when changing languages while playing the game.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of the the Jetpack which was
revealed at the end of February, but
delayed ahead of patch 3.1.0 in early March and instead replaced with the
Hunting Rifle. In a recent developer update, systems designer Eric Williamson explained of the Jetpack delay,
"In our internal playtest we identified some issues with it and we wanted to make sure those were all sorted out before we release it."
