Metro: Exodus, the latest entry the critically acclaimed Metro video game series. is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via Epic Games Store), a year and a half after its reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2017 conference. Just like 4A Games' two pervious
Metro games,
Exodus is partially inspired by one of Dmitry Glukhovsky's novels (
Metro 2035, to be exact), continuing the story of Artyom and his family.
Given that
Exodus is currently the best-reviewed game in the franchise (not counting the
Redux edition), sitting at a highly respectable 84% score on Metacritic (at least on PC), you should definitely give this story-driven title a fair chance, especially if you're a fan of the original book or
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
To celebrate
Metro: Exodus' successful launch, Deep Silver and 4A Games have shared an action-packed gameplay launch trailer for the recently released title, and you can check it out down below:
The year is 2036. A quarter-century after nuclear war devastated the earth, a few thousand survivors still cling to existence beneath the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. They have struggled against the poisoned elements, fought mutated beasts and paranormal horrors, and suffered the flames of civil war. But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East. Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.
Metro: Exodus is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
