Ana may have dropped off the meta recently due to the nerfs to her damage, biotic grenade and ultimate, as well as the Mercy rework and inclusion of Moira, but she still holds her ground in the game and a place the heart’s of the fans.
An upcoming console patch for Ana might re-establish her worth in competitive as Blizzard are adding ‘Friendly Aim Assist’ to make it easier for console players to target their teammates during a frantic firefight.
Overwatch’s Lead Engineer, Tim Ford stated:
We're going to add this to an upcoming patch. The setting will be a slider called "Friendly Aim Assist Strength" and will work just like "Aim Assist Strength" against allied targets. You will be able to find the option under Settings->Controls under Ana's Hero Control category. This setting is independent of Aim Assist Strength. If you want to customize how aim assist behaves against enemies compared to allies, this option will fit the bill. This will be a console only change. We don't compile in any aim assist code to PC.
This console buff will be available in the upcoming patch, which drops on December 12th
