Blizzard just tweeted a video revealing a total of 3 brand new maps for the new game mode called Arena. Little is known about this mode or the maps, but from pre-existing game modes we can deduce that it can’t be a 3 versus 3 or 1 versus 1 elimination mode, as that already exists in the form of Elimination.
We could, maybe, assume that the Arena is a free-for-all environment, where players battle it out until there is one left standing as the victor. This would be a great new addition to Overwatch and add more variety and gameplay to the already robust package.
The Anniversary Event is commencing this Tuesday, so all will be revealed then.
