Just like the first
Division, the highly anticipated sequel will give players a chance to play in PvP in a special area, but there's a twist, as
TD2 will feature not one, but three of them. While none of those zones will be bigger than the one found in
TD, Ubisoft has been working hard on making fighting within them more exciting, as you won't face 23 other players, but only 11 soldiers trying to get the best loot.
Set in Washington D.C.,
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 takes place seven months after the deadly virus was released in New York and ruined the once-great city. According to Ubisoft, the sequel will spotlight despaired people who banded together to survive by any means necessary, this time facing the True Sons, a militaristic faction made up of mutineers and criminals who believe that might makes right.
It looks like Ubisoft has decided to steal
Anthem's thunder, as
The Division 2 and BioWare's upcoming title will try to persuade you that they are the only right choice if you like
Destiny. The fact that
Anthem releases in February with
The Division 2 hitting stores in March probably won't help any of them, and you can take a closer look at Ubisoft's sequel in a ton of brand new multiplayer footage down below:
Washington D.C. is on the brink of collapse. Lawlessness and instability threaten our society, and rumors of a coup in the capitol are only amplifying the chaos. All active Division agents are desperately needed to save the city before it's too late. You are a member of the Division, an elite group of civilian agents charged with being the last line of defense. With DC at risk, it's time to gear up and use your unique skills to take on this new threat.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will be available March 15th, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
