CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 4's New "Down But Not Out" Limited-Time Blackout Mode Allows You To Respawn
Treyarch have added an interesting, new limited-time mode to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout battle-royale in-which, should at least one member of your team be alive, you'll be able to rejoin the match.
For the remainder of January, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will feature an awesome, new limited-time mode named "Down But Not Out". First teased within Treyarch's Reddit post which detailed the recent 1.11 update, this new mode is your typical Blackout battle-royale but with a twist; you're able to respawn.
Should you be eliminated during a match, provided that at least one of your teammates remain alive until the next time the encroaching circle collapses, you'll be able to redeploy. The weaponary and items of your previous life have however been lost in the void; upon respawning you'll be provided a small and basic loadout - which is at least better than spawning in totally bare.
The limited-time mode is currently live on the PlayStation 4 side of things and will be until January 30th at exactly 10am PT. It will presumably arrive on Xbox One and PC on January 23rd and therefore last until February 6th - again, beginning and ending at 10am PT.
The in-game description of the mode goes as such: “Play in squads of up to 4 players. All players who have an alive teammate will reinsert into the map when the next collapse starts. Players receive a small basic loadout kit upon each reinsertion.” Check out Treyarch's tweet about the mode below:
