Following
the official teaser that Infinity Ward and Activision released last week; a full trailer for the upcoming second season of
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's post-launch content has dropped. The developer has also confirmed all of the content that's coming in the second season — that being a plethora of new maps, weapons, operators, and multiplayer modes.
First off, Simon "Ghost" Riley from C
all of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is finally back in action — as a multiplayer operator. Similarly, there's another two operators called Talon and Mace — the latter of which bolsters a very similar mask to Ghost himself.
Season 2 will bring five new multiplayer maps. Rust, Atlas Superstore, and Khandor Hideout are all standard multiplayer maps. The former of those is also playable in Gunfight as well as a new map called Bazaar. Zhokov Boneyard is a new map that's exclusive to the Ground War game mode.
As for new multiplayer modes, there's Gunfight Tournament and CDL (Call of Duty League) Playlist to amp up the competitiveness. There's Infected Ground War, NVG (Night-Vision Goggles) Reinforce, variants of the traditional Gunfight game mode, and more. The Striker 45 and Grau 5.56 are two new weapons — the former of which longtime fans of the franchise will likely recognise.
