For those who are old enough to remember, a lot of older games used to feature a special "Big Head Mode." Usually hidden behind a cheat code or some sort of specific in-game action, this fun mode would enlarge the head of game characters.
Never one to take itself too seriously, Marvel Rivals is launching its own big head mode. The newly announced Giant-Size Brain Blast is a limited-time game mode where up to 12 players will duke it out with oversized heads. And the result is hilarity.
Aside from the fun of seeing your favorite Marvel characters with jokingly large heads, you can earn free event-exclusive titles and an emote just for playing. Playing this game mode 10 times will get you the Brain Blast emote. Title rewards will also be rewarded to the top 500, top 100, and top 10 players for each hero on the final leaderboard at the end of each round for the event. The dates and times for each round are:
- First Round: 4/25/25 5:00 PM - 4/28/25 8:00 AM UTC+08:00
- Second Round: 5/2/25 5:00 PM - 5/5/25 8:00 AM UTC+08:00
In addition to the new game mode, NetEase is also peeling back the curtain on the design of Marvel Rivals. One of the most appreciated aspects of the competitive shooter is its gorgeous artwork.
In the new online video series, Art Vision, the visual team dives into their inspirations and foundations for designing the world of Marvel Rivals. The first episode, Art Vision Vol. 01 - The Genesis of Style, goes behind the scenes with Art Director, Dino Ma, and other designers "to get the inside scoop on the processes for creating the interface design, artistic styles, animations, and so much more."
Art Vision Vol. 1 is already available to watch online.
