20XX is game inspired by classic platformer series like
Mega Man and
Mega Man X that was developed, and published by Batterystaple Games. The game was officially released on Steam in August of 2017, after a successful Kickstarter campaign that began in 2014.
20XX was also revealed to make its console debut on the PlayStation 4 and we now know that the game will be releasing on the
10th of July.
In
20XX players take control of Nina and Ace who have been hired to clear dangerous locatiosn infested with robots that have gone berserk in the aftermath of a robot uprising. While it may sound like a simple premise, the game's focus is mainly on the gameplay, which harkens back to that found in
Mega Man X.
Nina plays pretty much like Mega Man does, armed with her arm cannon she can take down enemies by jumping and shooting, as opposed to Ace who is armed with a sword - much like
Mega Man X's Zero. The game also features a Co-op mode so that players can bring in a friend and help them take down enemies in challenging ever-changing levels.

Inspired by classic Mega Man titles but with modern twists, 20XX remixes retro design with roguelike elements. Co-op multiplayer (online and local), daily ranked challenges, multiple difficulty settings, and procedural level generation means players will have tons of content to dash, jump, and blast their way through.
20XX will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 10th of July.
