YOOKA-LAYLEE AND THE IMPOSSIBLE LAIR Makes The Impossible Lair Not So Impossible With New Update

Playtonic has announced that a new update for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will become available soon, which will make the game's Impossible Lair a little less difficult.

We have some great newsfor fans of the Yooka-Laylee series, as Playtonic has announced that a few new updates will be rolling out soon, which aim to add some nifty features to both of their games, plus a nice discount for players who own Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on Switch.

As announced by Playtonic, a new update for Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will be rolling out very soon, although they still haven't told us exactly when, and it will be making some changes to the game — specifically to the Impossible Lair; adding a bunch of checkpoints in order to make it a little bit less impossible for players who find it like it is too much of a challenge.

On top of this, 8-bit versions of the game's phenomenal soundtrack are also being added via this upcoming free update; affecting all of the 2D levels(overworld excluded, sadly) in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Playtonic also reveals that the original Yooka-Laylee is also getting a new update that will be adding the 64-Bit Tonic to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game; a Tonic only available, at least until now, on the Nintendo Switch. This update is expected to arrive later this month.

As if that wasn't enough, Playtonic has also got some great news for Nintendo Switch players who own a physical or digital copy of Yooka-Laylee, as they will be getting a 50% discount when purchasing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, and that this offer will be available until the 19th of April.

Rescue Queen Phoebee’s Royal Beettalion Guard and prepare to take on Capital B’s most dastardly challenge yet in this brand new platforming adventure hybrid!Yooka and Laylee must combine their abilities to take on a series of challenging and vibrant side-scrolling levels, as well as explore and solve puzzles in the beautiful overworld.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam, GOG).
