After a rather unusual delay, Star Wars: Episode I Racer was released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch earlier this week, and giving players the chance to play this classic, and fast-paced racing game once more. In spite of the delay, however, players were still reporting some issues.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game, for example, would feature motion controls that allowed players to play Star Wars: Episode I Racer with the Joy-Con controllers. Unfortunately, motion controls didn't work as expected; the good news is that Aspyr was quick to address this issue.
Today Aspyr released a patch for both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of Star Wars: Episode I Racer. As revealed by the developer, this patch fixes those issues with the Switch's motion controls, and also fixes trophies on the PlayStation 4.
Aspyr didn't release the full list of patch notes, so we don't know exactly what they did to the PlayStation 4 trophies for Star Wars: Episode I Racer. Whatever it was that was wrong with them, though, it has now been fixed.
What's even more surprising is the fact that Aspyr didn't waste any time fixing these issues, and we should all thank them for it. Our hats are off to you, Aspyr.
The fan favorite racer is back featuring motion controls! Take control of a podracer speeding through flaming methane lakes, Tusken Raider assaults, anti-gravity tunnels, and much more in a pulse-pounding, do-or-die fight to the finish line.
Star Wars: Episode I Racer is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
