The journey to Cyberpunk 2077 has been a long and arduous one rich with controversial delays and the like. CD Projekt Red has been working on the upcoming open-world role-playing game for eight years at least — since Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced all the way back in 2012.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently set to launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 19th as well as come to the Google Stadia before the end of the year — and the next-generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, next year. Thankfully, we can now confirm that CD Projekt Red will make that date. There won't be anymore delays.
Cyberpunk 2077 has officially gone gold. The highly anticipated, upcoming game's official Twitter account (@CyberpunkGame) recently announced as much — as you can see below.
If you're unfamiliar with the term, "gone gold" is to say that it has begun being pressed onto discs which will promptly be shipped out. This isn't to say that all of the work is done, however. CD Projekt Red will still be at work ironing out any issues that may arise as well as working on post-launch content.
