With Code Vein releasing right around the corner, Bandai Namco started a short series of character introduction videos to get us acquainted with its main characters. The first trailer was focused on Mia Karnstein, voiced by Ai Kayano (No Game No Life), a female Revenant wandering in the land simply called “Vein," accompanied by her younger brother, the only family she has left in this world.

The second video showcases Yakumo Shinonome (voiced by Kosuke Toriumi [Naruto Shippuden]), a former mercenary who remembers his lost brethren. Yakumo is one of the buddies you’ll get to team up with in Code Vein, but you can also "hire" a real person to help you against the difficult opponents and monsters you may encounter. He fights with a sword which has powerful close-range attacks.

Thanks to this new gameplay trailer, we know that Yakuma is a definitely strong warrior who can rip enemies apart with his Hounds blood veil, and it looks like these terrifying weapons will kill any monster that it sinks it’s horrifying teeth into. Code Vein is already available to pre-order on Amazon for those who don’t want to miss out on getting their copy first, available for both PS4 and Xbox One.

In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood.

Code Vein will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 28, 2018.
