Dark Souls is Bandai Namco and FromSoftware's action role-playing game initially released in 2011 to critical acclaim getting praise from critics and fans alike. It was the spiritual successor to a game released in 2009 called Demon's Souls, by FromSoftware, as well.
Dark Souls then perfected the formula and set the bar so high that gamers now refer to
Demon's Souls/
Dark Souls as the genre itself.
The game saw two sequels and would later get a remaster in the form of
Dark Souls: Remastered, which was just released a few days ago on the
25th of May for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft WIndows. A Nintendo Switch version of the game was also announced but it was delayed for Summer of this year.
Now we got an official video that actually explores the links between
Dark Souls 3 and
Dark Souls: Remastered, which fans have considered to take place in the same place but without an official confirmation until now. This new video walks us through some of the locations found in
Lordran and
Lothric, as well as the people found in these places, that persisted through the ages.
Check it out:
Book passage to Lordran and traverse the limits of adventure. From the top of the highest tower to the most obscure depths of the earth, this quest holds dangers and marvels beyond human understanding.
Dark Souls: Remastered is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows right now.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be available this Summer.
