Bandai Namco has announced that From Software's
Dark Souls: Remastered version on Nintendo Switch has been delayed until the summer, meaning that the game won’t make its previously scheduled May 25 release date. The PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One owners shouldn't be worried, as the ports for their systems are still on schedule for the planned release this May.
The publisher didn't confirmed a new release date, so there's a small chance that the users who only play on the Switch will have to wait several months to purchase the game. It’s not clear why the Switch version of Dark Souls was pushed back. That last version of the game was recently shown in hands-on form at PAX East earlier this month and there were no noticeable issues based on the footage.
There's also bad news for the players who would like to buy the Solaire of Astora amiibo as it also has also been delayed to match the Switch version’s new release window. The remaster of From Software’s 2011 game promises improved resolution and framerate, as well as a handful of quality of graphics improvements.
