At long last, EA and BioWare have finally unveiled Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the fourth installment in the acclaimed fantasy RPG series. Dragon Age 4 was first announced in 2018, and revealed as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022. However, just last week, EA revealed the new title of the game, while also delivering a cinematic trailer along with more than 15 minutes of gameplay.

Players take on the role of a fully-customizable hero referred to as Rook. Though Dragon Age is a single-player experience, you won't be on this adventure alone.
"Fellowship is central to the experience of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, with each companion entering the fray with their own storylines, motivations and skill trees," EA teases. "In this tale that will decide the fate of Thedas forever, Rook must rise up, rally a team and forge relationships to become the unexpected leader others believe in."
During the Xbox Game Showcase, EA revealed each of the companions you'll battle alongside in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Each of them brings their own expertise to the battlefield, and it will be up to you, the player, to decide how to mix and match them when entering the battle. two of the game's seven total companions can be brought into battle at a time, meaning you'll want to carefully think about the challenges that await when decided on these combinations. The cinematic trailer below introduces us to the game's companions.
