Sports-themed video games have been around for almost as long as video games in general, and no other brand is more widely known than the Madden series. Since its first release in 1988, the annual sports series has continued to release titles and, through its ups and downs, has done its best to create the most authentic NFL experience found in video games.
Most recently, Madden 21 hit shelves for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and while the core gameplay has been considered its all-around best, the reviews have revealed that some of its technical issues make it hard to see the full potential of the game. Whether or not this has anything to do with the game itself being a better fit for the next-gen remains to be seen.
Since Madden 21 is the newest title, it has been confirmed that the game will come out for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and to show just how different it will be compared to its previous release, a new gameplay trailer has been released. In a gameplay video that has been released (that looks so realistic it could be mistaken for a cinematic), viewers get to see how the game has adapted to the new console and how new gameplay stats will affect the overall gameplay.
The next-gen release of Madden 21 may be the most technical that went into the series, yet it will be exciting to see how much more realistic the games will look for players. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new trailer and improvements in the comments below!
Madden 21 is coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 4th!
