Electronic Arts hosted a special presentation today, where they revealed a bunch of video games that are currently in development, and also took the opportunity to make some other announcements that definitely made more than a few players out there happy.
Wht's probably one of the most surprising announcements made during the presentation was that the Skate series is making a comeback, and fans of the phenomenal skateboarding video game series will be happy to find out that a new game is currently in development at Electronic Arts.
Not much information about this new Skate title was revealed, but we do know that Skate series' Deran Chung and Cuz Parry will be helming this new Skate game as Game Director and Creative Director, respectively, and that they were quite happy themselves to finally reveal that a new game is finally happening after all of these years; thanking fans for making this possible.
Let's remember that Skate 3 was released in 2010, so fans of the critically acclaimed series have been eagerly waiting for a brand-new entry for a solid 10 years now.
This year has actually been great for fans of skateboarding games, since Skater XL is finally making its way to consoles next month, and the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series is also making its triumphant return in the form of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
