This has been a particularly great year for fans of the video game skateboarding genre. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 brought back the first two titles in the long-running series — games that helped define the genre as a whole, actually — and Electronic Arts even announced Skate 4.
Similarly, independent developer Easy Day Studios had been working on a brand-new skateboarding game that was actually less of an arcade-style game like the titles in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Skate series, with a more realistic approach to skateboarding.
Easy Day Studios' Skater XL was released in July of this year, and the developers have been actively supporting their skateboarding game by adding content pretty regularly regular — which is great news for fans of the game — while also fixing recurring issues in order to give players a top quality experience.
Today, the developers at Easy Day Studios have announced that mods that have been created by the Skater XL Community will be added to the game in December, although they have yet to confirm the exact date in which this new content will be implemented.
These mods include maps and gear that the developer reveals will be easily accessible on the platforms Skater XL is currently available on. On top of this, more maps and gear created by the community will be added at a later date, so things are really looking up for fans of the game.
