A new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game had been rumoured for quite a while, which is one of the reasons players got so excited to find out that Activision and Vicarious Visions were working on a brand-new game that is actually a top quality remaster of the first two entries in the series; often considered to be the best.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released early in September to some overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, mainstream players, and long-time fans of the popular video game skateboarding series, as it delivered on every aspect that the originals delivered, and then some.
Just recently, Activision and Vicarious Visions announced that a tonne of new content was being added to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 via a free update. This new content comes in the form of Solo Tours, some stylish new decks for players to customise their characters, and even some Crash Bandicoot-themed cosmetics.
But why Crash Bandicoot, though? Well, for starters the rights are owned by Activision, and developer Vicarious Visions was the studio in charge of remastering the first three titles in the Crash Bandicoot series, so passing up this opportunity would've been a shame.
The best news is that this free update for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 has just rolled out today, giving players even more excuses to jump back in and keep enjoying this phenomenal title.
The original birdman Tony Hawk and Vicarious Visions, the studio behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, have come together to bring back Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2, radically remastered for the PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 4 Pro, the family of Xbox One devices from Microsoft, including the Xbox One X, and on PC via Epic!
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic).
